Early 2022
It Started With an Idea
Unable to find a soft claw clip, the founder, Elena, set out to create one.
November 2022
The First Pitch
Pitched the idea at Hofstra’s Lion’s Den and took home 3rd place.
April 2023
First Place
Came back stronger: Won 1st Place at Hofstra’s Digital Remedy Venture Challenge!
2023-2024
Learning to Build It
With no engineering background, Elena taught herself CAD and began 3D printing prototypes from her bedroom.
2024
Bringing in an Expert
Elena brought on a female engineer with a background in motor vehicle safety design to refine the product.

Launch Time!
Our first 3D printed drop sold out in minutes, all because of you!

The Real Thing
We scaled production to meet demand and launched pre-orders for the official Cozy Clip®.

Meet The Founder
Hey! I’m Elena, founder & inventor of the Cozy Clip®. Claw clips have always been my favorite hair accessory, but I couldn’t ignore how painful they were, especially while driving.
I knew I wanted a solution, but soft claw clips didn’t exist. So, I took it upon myself to invent the Cozy Clip® in college. I prototyped it myself on my 3D printer until I created a version that appears to be your regular claw clip, but feels much better!
